In addition to online classes with pre-recorded video lectures, we are now offering ZOOM courses with LIVE interactive lectures and discussions. We offer you a unique opportunity to study with Israel College of the Bible right where you are!

You can gain qualifications which are internationally accredited, or you can choose to study for personal enrichment.

These classes meet once a week via zoom for a 3 hour lecture. All together there will be 10 three hour Live zoom lectures in each course. Recordings will be available to registered students.

Historical Background of the Old Testament (Zoom Course)

This course delves into the history, traditions, customs and religion of Israel and the surrounding nations during the period of the Tanakh (Old Testament). It will give the student a historical framework for the period of the Tanakh, and look at various aspects of government, society, economics and cult in the Ancient Near East, with a focus on shared and unique elements found in Israelite society.
